In Nardi's "Why We Blog" she explains that Blogging, as seen by the masses, is a massive form of communication, rhetoric, and banter. The truth however is that often blogging is done by normal individuals and shared with a very small audience. Reading this article I came to believe this is quite true, however the blogs from those who have become famous or well known for their blogging are often heard by a rather large audience. In my few years now working within a professional public setting I have seen that our publishers, newspapers, are often no better than blogs that are posted online. We often think that our periodicals have no agenda and are correct information, however this is far from the truth. Maybe the New York Times or other large publications may be more accurate, but I know that my local paper has often printed articles that were very biased and often not accurate. Blogs can have the same effect.
